Visual characteristics that are permissible:
Glass
- Edges: Damage that is not visible once installed is no reason for a complaint.
- Seamed edge (sliding roof): The seamed edge corresponds to the cut edge; these edges are treated as non-visible edges.
- Ground edges: Grinding gives the edges a matt appearance.
Aluminium
- Colour differences: Slight colour and/or gloss deviations between different deliveries or batches are possible due to production and are no reason for a complaint.
- Appearance: The appearance is assessed on the significant visible surface, i.e. the part that is decisive for the appearance.
- Corners and secondary surfaces: Corners and secondary surfaces are not a significant visible surface. Damage to the coating on the visible surface that does not reach the base metal is not subject to complaint.
- Matt spots, holes, scratches and other defects: Matt spots, holes, scratches and other defects that are not visible when the coated visible surface is viewed at its place of use at an oblique angle of approximately 60° to the surface from a distance of 5 m for outdoor applications and 3 m for indoor applications are no reason for a complaint.
